Wumpa Classic Championship was a Crash Bandicoot tournament held in 2019. The tournament differed from every previous tournament as it focused less on races being edited and uploaded to YouTube, and instead made streaming mandatory to enter. The tournament was hosted by 'The Crash Team', which is not an individual but a collaboration of various peoples; including Kolapro, Cotote and DessertMonkeyJK.
Progress
▼ The tournament was announced by Cotote via a trailer video on January 29, 2019.
- ► Sign up video has been posted and competitors are registering for the tournament. Tournament was expected to start February 7th ,2019 but it was delayed by 1 week in order to give competitors more time to sign up and to do seeds.
▼ Round 1 began on February 15th. The first match was uploaded on February 16th.
▼ Round 2 & Winners Groups began on March 8th. The first Winners Groups match was uploaded on March 9th & the first Round 2 match one week later.
▼ Quarter-Finals began on March 25th. The first match was uploaded on March 29th.
▼ Semi-Finals began on April 3rd. The first match was uploaded on April 5th and last match on April 27th.
▼ The Grand Final was initially planned to be on April 29th but was delayed by a few weeks.
- ► The Grand Final was done on May 11th and uploaded the following day on Youtube.
Special Rules
Unlike other tournaments to date, this is the first attempt to do a stream only tournament. Competitors are expected to be able to screen share their game when competing, cutting down on post-editing and making match results available immediately. A dedicated set of users will be then restreaming competitor footage to a streaming channel such as Twitch and need to coordinate with competitors.
The compulsory games for the tournament are the original trilogy Crash Bandicoot games. They take priority over all other Crash games. However, competitors may race each other in any Crash Bandicoot game, including any of the N. Sane Trilogy.
The tournament will be featuring the general ruleset. Rules can be found here.
Draw Times
Just like DR-WC, this tournament employs draw times for those who finish within a certain amount of time after a competitor who uses a "faster" way of playing the game. If a draw occurs, the match will have to be redone; Unless both competitors agree to ignore the draw times and declare one player the winner. Competitors are also allowed to create their own draw times if they wish at any time, both competitors will need to agree on this however.
Competitors are encouraged to USE THE SAME VERSIONS OR METHOD OF PLAY IF POSSIBLE, but these draw times are here for circumstances where it cannot be helped.
- Note that the Mednafen emulator has the same draw times as ePSXe.
- All in italics is the slower way of playing and what the draw is given for.
- All not listed combinations are deemed as equal and there is no draw time (Such as PC ePSXe vs SDS Console), however:
- Draw times stack on top of each other and can be inferred based on other draw times.

Round 4.5
Initially Crashing Snake was set to go onto the grand final. However he would drop out soon after the 1st attempt failed. Since Adbul finished 3rd in his group he would've replaced Crashing Snake but Abdul decided to have a rematch with Kolapro. The winner would take Crashing Snakes place in the Grand Final.
